Stem Cell Therapy

Vet-Stem Regenerative Stem Cell Therapy is now available for pets at Hillside Veterinary Hospital. Some conditions which can benefit from regenerative stem cell therapy include:

  • single or multiple joint osteoarthritis
  • immune-mediated polyarthritis
  • tendon or ligament injuries
  • cartilage damage
  • fractures

The treatment is done in a two step process. The first phase involves harvesting a small amount of adipose (fat) tissue from the patient and submitting it to the laboratory, where the regenerative cells are extracted and concentrated into an injection. The second step is to inject the cells directly into the affected joint(s) or into the bloodstream.

These cells have the ability to develop into different types of tissue and have been proven to reduce pain and inflammation. The results can last anywhere from 6 months to several years.

We are pleased to offer pet owners another holistic option for manager their pet's mobility issues. Please talk to us if you would like more information on Vet-Stem Regnerative Stem Cell Therapy.

" One year ago today, Sunny had TPLO surgery to repair her torn cruciate and I am very happy to report that she is 110%. We could not have got to that 110% without all the care and support of Dr. Glynis Newman, Karen and Rhea. Thank you team! "
